Dear Reader(s)

This is to inform you that we have started Faculty news letter on line. In brief it is reminded that our faculty was established as permanent wing on 21- 03-1995 in a single room with a mere staff of only 04 teachers. The foundation stone was subsequently laid down by His Excellency, the then Governor of J&K State cum Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu and Kashmir, General K.V.Krishna Rao on 15-12-1995. With the passage of 13 years we have never looked back and are having one of the beautiful Faculty Campus at R.S.Pura with all the basic facilities along with 86 scientific staff and 111 non teaching staff.

Our Faculty has started a new blog (www.vetfaculty.blogspot.com) and a monthly news letter as live journal with pad user name (skuast_j)Professor A.R.Nazki joined new assignment as Dean, F.V.Sc. and A.H, R.S.Pura Campus on 12-12-2008. Dr. B. Mishra, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu visited R.S.Pura Campus on 29-12-2008 and interacted with all the teaching staff members. Before the interaction session Dean of the Faculty Dr. A.R.Nazki gave the detailed status note on different activities of Faculty. He also highlighted some of the constraints in the Faculty . Hon’ble Vice Chancellor was satisfied with the different Faculty activities and assured that the need based priorities shall be taken care on priority basis.
